Now I have been trying to get several people to write with me. People who struggle to get two words on a page that connect.
[About Cat Hartliebe] [Writer’s Stuff]
One of them is Moe Destroyer. If you look at Poem a Day May 2018, he is listed as a contributor. Moe has begun an awesome story about Loki’s newest child: Lokin. Lokin is half snake half human and is trying to keep his distance of his family since Loki’s kids haven’t exactly been treated fairly. Look at Fenrir after all. The guy’s trapped because people think he’ll start Ragnarok. So I’ve begged and pleaded and tried everything to get Moe to write with me. He’s refused left, right, and center.
So I created a word crawl with his name on it. Moe’s Special Pokemon Master Word Crawl. With the entire goal is to become a pokemon master from the first story.
And he goes and said, I wanna catch all the pokemon and defeat all the gyms. Well, then he can try Cyro’s Special Pokemon Crawl. Ugh. This is a no win situation, isn’t it? Whatever. I may never hear Lokin’s story, but the word crawl may help someone else out. Good luck!
Moe’s Special Pokemon Word Crawl
(The first number is for low word count goals such as 5000 words. The second number is for a higher word count goal more like 50000. There is no set number for the final since it matters what you pick as a pokemon.)
Pick your favorite pokemon to battle with. Spend a few minutes getting to know your pokemon. They will be your battling companion. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 100 words.)
Now that you have your pokemon, you need to train it up some. Can’t battle gyms or trainers with that level one. (Write twenty words.) (Write 125 words.)
Perfect, you’re ready for your first badge. Reach that gym. You want your Pewter City Gym badge, right? Let’s get to Pewter City! (Write fifteen words.) (Write 150 words.)
You made it to the gym. Brock will be using Rock types. Watch out for onix!
If you have type advantage: Write twenty five/200 words. [Water grass, fighting, ground, steel]
If you have type disadvantage: Five minute word sprint. Pull off thirty/200 words and you pass. [normal, fire, flying, poison]
If you have neither: Five minute word sprint. Manage twenty/125 words and you succeed.
If you fail to pass, return to the beginning and train again before battling the gym again.
You managed to gain your first badge! You must tell the world! (Write twenty words.) (Write 150 words.)
Phew. Now you need to train up before taking on the next gym. Cerulean City Gym is no picnic. Let’s train up your pokemon! (Write twenty words.) (Write 175 words.)
Perfect! The gym will go down easy peasy now, right? Maybe a little more training. Just for more certainty. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 160 words.)
Good. That should do it. Let’s head for those mermaids in Cerulean City. And battle a few pokemon along the way. Just in case. (Write twenty words.) (Write 140 words.)
You made it to the right city! Congrats. You can totally take down Misty and her water types. If you’re confident head for the gym. (If not restart from the last gym.)
If you have type advantage: Write twenty five/200 words. [electric, grass]
If you have type disadvantage: Five minute word sprint. Pull off thirty/200 words and you pass. [fire, water, ice, steel]

If you fail to pass, return to the last gym and train again before battling the gym again.
Congratulations! That’s two badges down. The sky’s the limit, right? Let’s tell the world of your accomplishment. (Write twenty words.) (Write 100 words.)
Let’s get some training in before taking on Vermilion City’s Lt. Surge. Better to be safe than sorry. (Write twenty words.) (Write 200 words.)
Electric types are super tough to handle. How about a little more training before handling the gym? Sounds like a plan. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 100 words.)
Yes! You’re ready! Time to hit up Vermilion City. You should manage no questions, right? (Write twenty words.) (Write 175 words.)
Now to take on Lt. Surge. His electric types are going down!

If you have type disadvantage: Five minute word sprint. Pull off thirty/200 words and you pass. [electric, flying, steel]
If you have neither: Five minute word sprint. Manage twenty/125 words and you succeed.
If you fail to pass, return to the last gym and train again before battling the gym again.
Woah! You managed! Three badges down. You are like a pokemon master now. Or maybe not. There are a lot of trainers with three badges. Better train some more. (Write twenty words.) (Write 200 words.)
Celadon City is next. A grass gym. Erika seems pretty dangerous. Maybe another round of training. Sounds good. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 150 words.)
Totally ready now. Let’s hit up Celadon City. The place is goregous, but the real destination has your heart pitter pattering. (Write twenty words.) (Write 160 words.)

Now where to next? Fuchsia City. Poison types. Hm… Training first. Better to be stronger before tackling Koga. (Write twenty words.) (Write 185 words.)
Phish, poison types are easy. And Koga seems… like a viper. Okay, maybe another round of training. Then to the city. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 100 words.)
Fuchsia City looks like an interesting place… How long will it take to reach Koga? What’s up with these invisible walls everywhere? (Write twenty words.) (Write 190 words.)
There he is! Koga is going to politely hand over that badge. You’re ready.
If you have type advantage: Write twenty five/200 words. [ground, psychic]

Can you believe it? You actually won! Five badges makes you a pretty top rated trainer. Calm down. It makes anyone wanna dance, but we need to focus. (Write ten words.) (Write 120 words.)
Alright. Saffron City Gym is not a nice place, or so you’ve heard. Training type. You know the drill. (Write twenty words.) (Write 200 words.)
Seriously. Are you ready for Sabrina’s psychic types? Doubtful. Get another round of training in. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 150 words.)
You seem ready. Let’s go. Saffron City is just over there. Run faster and we’ll get there before dinner. (Write twenty words.) (Write 175 words.)

If you have type disadvantage: Five minute word sprint. Pull off thirty/200 words and you pass. [fighting, psychic]

Did that actually happen? Did you actually get your sixth badge? Man, you’re something else. Good job. To think you only have two badges left to go. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 160 words.)
Onward! Cinnabar Island is a hot mess. Blaine seems hot headed too. Be careful of the fire. And the volcano. Let’s train before going to such a dangerous place. (Write twenty words.) (Write 170 words.)
Good, good. Once on the island, you spend a little extra time training. Need your pokemon to get used to the heat after all. And where did you put that sunblock? (Write fifteen words.) (Write 199 words.)
Let’s go face off. Sunblock or no sunblock. You’re ready to take on the fire types of Cinnabar’s Blaine. But seriously be wary of the volcano. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 100 words.)

That’s seven badges. You deserve something. Get a drink. Or a snack. Man, you’ve gotten a lot of work behind you. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 150 words.)
Did you know Viridian City is your last badge missing? Giovani’s ground types are difficult, though. A lot more difficult that’s Brock’s rock pokemon. You’d think they’d be similar, but no. Get to training. (Write twenty words.) (Write 200 words.)
More training. Do you not realize how dangerous Giovanni is? Do not think for a second he’s weak. (Write twenty words.) (Write 200 words.)
That’s a bit better. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll make it. But wait… Isn’t that Team Rocket? Uh oh! (Write twenty words.) (Write 225 words.)
You can handle battling a few team rocket cronies. They have nothing on you. You’re the way better trainer, after all. And you don’t steal. (Write fifteen words.) (Write 175 words.)
Ha! You’ve managed to reach Viridan City without too many scratches. Okay, a pokemon center before the gym battle sounds like a smart move. (Write twenty words.) (Write 200 words.)
You got this. Giovanni’s ground types are no match for you. Hopefully.

What? You’re not a master yet? Oh, right… Final four. It’s battle after battle. No training allowed. And if you mess up once, you return to here. Better stock up your snacks. This will be a difficult race to the finish line. (Write twenty words.) (Write 200 words.)
You got this. Besides the pause for healing, it’s battle right after battle. Good luck! (Write five words.) (Write 60 words.)
