(This can be found in Poem a Day May 2015. I won’t explain further. Sorry if you cry over it.)
Loss
The likelihood of being known,
For you is not at all.
I wish I could explain my heart,
But it has been too strong.
I fought to live, so you had to die.
I begged, and pleaded; I had to cry.
What more can life do to me?
After all, I can barely breathe.
I shudder to think even after everything,
I just wasn’t good enough.
Even if you gave your life,
I cannot live without your love.
I sit here dead and wish
You weren’t six feet underground.
