Recipe: Basic Almond Cookie

Let’s get this recipes up during September. I’m not at 50 yet, but I’m closing in. Let me know if you attempt it and if anything is wrong or confusing. These aren’t the final recipes… I don’t think…

Basic Almond Cookie

Ingredients::

  • 4       c             almond flour
  • 2/3    c             dark maple syrup
  • 1/2    tsp          baking soda
  • 1/2    tsp          cream of tartar

Equipment::

  • cookie sheet
  • large bowl
  • spoon
  • Aluminum foil

Directions::

  1. Mix everything together.
  2. Preheat oven to 350.
  3. Shape the cookies on to the foil lined cookie sheet.
  4. Bake for 8 to 15 minutes.
  5. Let cool.

Notes::

  • Be wary of add ins. Flavorings are fine. Small amounts of chopped nuts, chips, or dried fruit is fine. One teaspoon of flavorings. Quarter of a cup of solid add ins.
  • You can use amber maple syrup instead. Or corn syrup. Or even molasses. Just realize it changes the consistency and flavor a touch.
