Poem: Just a Human

(New creation. Dragon poem. And how I feel. If only I could go back to being a child where pretending I was a dragon was allowed.)

Just a Human

just a human
that’s all I am
it doesn’t matter
what I desire

who doesn’t want
wings for flying
or fire breathe
or armor scales

being a dragon
would be the best
no limits to be seen
the perfect dream

but I am not
I never will be
all I’ll ever be is
just a human

don’t complain
just because
we’re never changing
from human to dragon
I’m sorry that
won’t be happening

we’re just humans
