Cat Gillette’s Autist : The World

Let’s get started on about posts. Posts to show a little bit about each of the published works. I’ve been meaning to do it. [Autist] is a collection of short stories and poetry. I still want to explain it to reach a proper length of a book, but for now, it is a short collection of my work.

Autist’s World:

Autist cover by Cat Gillette. Green letters on a watery background with a starfish centered.

Autist takes place in a world comparable to ours.

Jenkison’s Aquarium gave me a comparable place for George to go to. If you were to visit, you’ll find it very similar.

Mrs. Namil is more typical middle school or high school setting. It sounds closer to the issues I had in high school, but there’s no set age.

The Book is a bookstore with café. Pick your favorite and pretend it matches.

Cara’s Amusement Trip is comparable to Six Flags Great Adventure. Big amusement parks can be overwhelming for us, but there is also fun to be had if we take into account our sensitivities.

I tried to make this closer to our world. Because I want autists to realize they are the main character in this world. They don’t need to create a new one just be seen as main character. I have always leaned to fantasy because it felt more real. Let’s stop that. Our real life is just as real as another’s.

You can buy the ebook of Autist on Amazon (US) or you can buy it within the paperback [Hartliebe Poems and Shorts] on Amazon (US).

If you have any specific questions about any of my books, let me know. I am always willing to talk about my work.
