Just like [Want me to Review?], I am willing to do the same for myself. If offered a free ebook, I’ll aim to get a book reviewed quickly. If you ask for a free ebook, I’ll assume you’re doing so to review any of my work.
Which means I expect a return email suggesting such. Anyone is capable of getting a free ebook copy of any of my published or soon to be published works.
If you offer the review (or reasonable option why you’re not), I’ll offer a second free ebook.
My expectation is reviews placed on Amazon, goodreads, and your blog. It doesn’t have to be in depth review. It can be as simple as ‘I loved reading the book and can’t wait to read more from this author’. That’s not what a typical reader wants from a review, but it’s good enough to count.
Good enough to get all my published work for free.
This will always be the case until I have 50 reviews or have given the book away fifty times (for ARC readers). Don’t think getting big will change my desires to offer free ebooks.
To be honest, I’m more likely to offer my work for free than most. I’m not trying to gain fame and fortune (enough to live on would be nice). My work has no value sitting in my hands. Ask for my work, and you’ll probably get more than you ask for.
Just be nice about it.
