And the 99 cent sale is over.
Yes, I’m two weeks late. I told you my ADHD gets involved in everything. This would be one of those things likely to fall into the ‘not important enough to remember’ category.
Not that people were using the sale.
So depressing to know I’ve made so little.
Even more depressing is knowing the number of copies aren’t sold.
Anyway, the sale is over. My ebooks without a paperback are $2.99. My ebooks with a paperback are $4.99.
All or Nothing vol 1 and Just a Little Bit of Life are still set to $0.99. I probably should increase their pricing, but I don’t consider them worthy of it.
I’m also tempted to use the price of the paperback as the marker for the price of the ebook. I have paperback pricing based of cost to print. I bring it up to the next 5 multiple after clearing cost pricing. So any of the $10 books cost less than 10 to create. But the books that are $15, cost to create (when you include middle man costs) is higher than $10. I am required to make sure Amazon isn’t losing money. That’s my only requirement when creating price points.
So if the paperback is $15, I may up the ebook pricing to $6.99. If the paperback is higher than that, I’ll boost it to $8.99, $9.99, or even $10.99. None of these numbers are that outlandish. It’s based on how much you’re getting. If the paperback’s cost is higher, I should increase the cost of the ebook.
As of right now though, it only depends on whether there is a paperback or not.
Another note. I’m thinking of a free ebook sale in the near future. I’m not sure which ebook or which day. If you have a suggestion (like the one you’re thinking of getting but aren’t open to paying anything), let me now.
All my feelings this month have left me down. My attempts lead no where. The people who need my books aren’t finding them.
Even my sales do nothing.
Alright, give me a minute to cry, then I’ll get back on the horse.

The door offers little resistance as I pull it open. Excitement brings the smile to my lips while the bright sun finally reaches my face. I am free. Finally and completely free.Tsuba Ren by Tod Leben

“The people who need my books aren’t finding them.” That’s SO sad, I’m sorry! Marketing and writing are such different skills… don’t let it bring you down, some authors take a long time to grow an audience.
I’m one of the longer ones. I’m going into my tenth year now. But I did nothing right marketing wise when I first started. I didn’t even have this website before I hit publish the first time.
